#FJTHANKSAPGAPRO WINNER ENJOYS TRIP OF A LIFETIME

Back in April, FootJoy and The PGA were delighted to announce Peter Roberts as this year's winner of the #FJThanksaPGAPro campaign, an initiative that celebrates PGA Members who have gone above and beyond in helping golfers improve their performance on the course.

Roberts, Head PGA Professional at Surbiton Golf Club received nominations for the work he does in supporting golfers suffering with Parkinson's disease. He also received submissions for his efforts in helping players find the right footwear model for their game by regularly hosting FJ shoe fitting events.

The prize on offer was a six-night trip to Monte Argentario giving Roberts the opportunity to play in the Italian Open Pro-Am alongside DP World Tour winner, David Ravetto. He also received a VIP behind the scenes experience with the Titleist and FootJoy Tour team where he was kitted out in full FJ apparel and footwear for the week.

"The role of the PGA pro is an incredible opportunity to make a difference, whether it be a swing tip or advice on a change of equipment seeing a player's score improve," said Roberts.

"Over the past couple of years, we have hosted multiple FootJoy shoe fitting events at Surbiton - both were very well attended and resulted in over a dozen shoe sales at each event. It is our chance to add a little theatre and make sure that the customer walks away with the size and performance model to help them play better golf."
