Last Sunday afternoon in the UAE, FJ Ambassador Nacho Elvira claimed his third DP World Tour title after battling off a high caliber field at the Dubai Invitational.

The champion relied on the supercharged performance of his FootJoy Premiere Series Packard golf shoes which he got fitted into last summer at the British Masters after experiencing FJFitLab for the first time.
FJ’s FitLab offers the ultimate custom shoe fitting experience using the state-of-the-art Volumental scanner to identify the unique characteristics of golfers’ feet such as the length, width, arch and instep to help players find their shoe size in a model best suited to their game.
Heading into the week at The Belfry, the 38-year-old had been suffering from some foot fatigue on the golf course and was concerned that his performance was being hindered by either wearing the wrong shoe model or being in the incorrect fit.
After spending time with FJ Product Specialist Alex Gurnell, Elvira discovered that he was actually in the correct length of golf shoe but the width was wrong. It was recommended that he switch from a medium fit in Premiere Series Field to a wide fit in the Packard model.
Most golfers who experience any slipping or rubbing in their golf shoes automatically assume that the length is the issue, yet data collated from the brand suggests that around 27% of golfers are actually in the incorrect width.

Offering medium, wide and even extra-wide options in some of its footwear franchises, FJ make sure every golfer has a shoe option that will help guarantee performance on the golf course.
Since his FJ shoe fitting, the Dubai Invitational Champion has recorded one victory, three top 10 finishes, made nine of his last 10 cuts and has risen from 269th in the Official World Golf Rankings to 118th.
Elvira also joins the likes of Laurie Canter (Bahrain Championship), Calum Hill (Joburg Open), Lottie Woad (KPMG Irish Open & ISPS Handa Scottish Open) and Padraig Harrington (US Senior Open & ISPS Senior Open) to have all won Tour events in 2025 after having spent time with an FJ Product Specialist.
