Team Ireland finalised their lineup this week for The Partnership Trophy following a second qualifier at Laytown & Bettystown Golf Club.
This week’s event saw David Hughes (Massereene), Mark Murphy (Millicent), Brian Carroll (Castlebar), and Brian Cosgrove (Newlands) complete Team Ireland’s roster.
They will join the quartet who qualified at Donaghadee Golf Club earlier this month - Gareth Shaw (Moyola Park), Damien McGrane (Carlow), Brendan McGovern (Headfort), and Colin O’Gorman (Dundrum House).
The final eight will head to Archerfield Links in September this year to represent Ireland as they aim to retain the Trophy.
The Partnership Trophy, sponsored by Callaway, Callaway Apparel, and TravisMathew, brings together Partners from the home nations – Scotland, England & Wales and Ireland - for a Ryder Cup format team competition. The teams compete not only for prizes generously provided by our sponsors but, more importantly, for national pride.
