Leading Apparel Brand Looking To Build With Existing Customers & Add Stockists
Galvin Green, the premium hi-tech apparel brand, has appointed David Birn as its new Area Manager for the Home Counties and South-West, with a remit to enhance business with existing customers and add more stockists of its pioneering collections.
He takes up the territories and accounts previously covered by two of the golf industry’s most experienced salesmen - Simon Everitt and David Rigby - who have both retired after representing Galvin Green successfully for more than 20 years.
Accustomed to selling luxury apparel to golfers as a retail professional himself, David once managed the golf section at the world-famous Harrods department store in London and worked as a golf services supervisor at The Grove, the high-end resort in Hertfordshire.
An avid golfer who plays off a handicap of +1 at Roehampton, David also graduated from the Bournemouth University Golf Development Course and spent two years with Hackett, the men’s fashion brand.
“I’m really excited to be representing a respected golf brand like Galvin Green with its impressive record of product innovation, standout designs and a progressive approach to sustainability,” said David. “I’m also looking forward to building relationships with our valued customers and offer my retail experience to help them grow their business - whether by talking with Pro Shop team members or advising on store display areas to gain more sales,” he added.
Commenting on his appointment, Per Ågren, Global Sales Director at Galvin Green said: “We’re very pleased to welcome David to our sales team and believe that he can make a great contribution to the growth of the brand in two of the key UK regions.
“He brings a wealth of retail experience in the luxury goods sector as well as a great deal of enthusiasm for helping other golfers to play well in clothing designed with specific performance benefits in mind and sourced responsibly,” he added.
The Part Two range David will be presenting contains more highly breathable shirts in VENTIL8 PLUS fabric with UV 20+ protection, waterproof and windproof garments crafted using sustainable bluesign® approved materials, plus thermal vests and leggings; and matching accessories, including snoods and hats.
