Following the success of the past three #FJThanksaPGAPro campaigns, FootJoy has once again partnered with the PGA to highlight outstanding service among members. This year’s campaign aims to celebrate both Head and Assistant PGA Professionals who have helped golfers improve their performance on the golf course over the past 12 months.

Whether it be a lesson to improve a golfer’s golf swing, insights on specific golf equipment that has made an impact on the course or being fitted with a proper pair of performance golf shoes, these are the types of nominations both FJ and The PGA are eager to hear.

Promotion for the campaign will run until Friday, March 28th where golfers from around the country can vote for PGA Members by nominating them through an online form which will be shared on both FootJoy and The PGA’s communication platforms.

For the 2025 competition, the winning Pro and one of the golfers who takes the time to nominate him/her, will earn themselves the following prize:

• 6-night trip to PGA National Italy - Argentario

• Two Pro-AM spots alongside a Tour professional at the 2025 Italian Open

• Ground access tickets for the 2025 Italian Open (Thursday-Sunday)

• Accommodation, transfers and flights all covered by the PGA and FootJoy.

FJ Brand Director, Russell Lawes, said: “#FJThanksaPGAPro is all about recognising PGA Professionals who continue to best serve their clubs, members and local communities. It is also an opportunity for us to show our appreciation to those Pros who consistently support and help promote the FootJoy brand.

“To mark the fourth year of the campaign, we wanted to do something slightly different with having a primary focus on golfing performance.

“The FootJoy brand is all about unlocking golfers’ full potential and we are wanting to hear how PGA professionals are helping players across the country take their golf games to the next level. Last year’s campaign saw a huge number of golfers come forward to nominate their Pro and with the fantastic prize on offer for 2025, we are excited to receive even more this time around.”

Duncan Rougvie, Head of Commercial at The PGA, added: “For the fourth year running, we’re proud to partner with FootJoy to recognise and celebrate PGA Members who have truly moved the dial for their students this year. FootJoy is all about maximising performance on the course, so we want to spotlight those Members who have taken their students’ games to new heights.

“Thanks to our collaboration with PGA National Italy, we’re able to award the winner and their student a once-in-a-lifetime experience: attending the DP World Tour Italian Open, including the chance to test their performance against the very best by teeing it up as part of our team in the Wednesday Pro-Am.”

The 2023/24 campaign saw over 1400 golfers take the time to nominate their PGA Professionals, with Adam Harnett (Blacknest Golf and Country Club) and Anna Smith (London Golf Club) being announced as the two winners.

“As a PGA Professional and coach, I eat, sleep and breathe coaching, so to be recognised last year was a real honour,” said Harnett.

“A big thank you to FJ and The PGA as this campaign really shows all PGA Professionals how appreciated they are and that their efforts and dedication do not go unnoticed.”

Smith added: “It was such a wonderful surprise to be a winner of the #FJThanksaPGAPro campaign. Huge thanks to my lessons who voted for me.

“Big thanks goes to FootJoy for putting on the campaign and also for supporting me through college, the Ladies European Tour and my time as a PGA coach.”

In addition to the main prizes, two entrants and their nominated Pro who finish runners-up, will be selected to win a pair of FJ shoes each.

Both the winners and runners-up will be handpicked by a combined FJ and PGA panel and will be announced at the start of April.
