Emma Brown from TGI Partner venue The Kendleshire scooped the Women PGA Coach Award, sponsored by TGI Golf at the recent Women in Golf Awards.
The award, presented by TGI Golf Managing Director Adele McLean, was given to Emma in recognition of her dedication and expertise in supporting golfers and raising coaching standards across the game.
Speaking to PGA.info, Emma said: “It was pretty crazy. Last year I got nominated and didn’t win, so this year it was just nice to see so many people - and my mum came as well.”
Emma, who is better known on social media as The Lady Golf Coach, added: “It was a really great evening, and just seeing so many fantastic women was truly inspiring.
“You’ve just got to keep doing what you’re doing. There are a lot of excellent coaches out there now,” she added. “What do you do differently from them? What makes your experience unique? That’s why people come back to you and how you keep attracting more golfers.
“Those are the questions I ask myself all the time because you can’t be complacent. Golfers are fickle - one round and they might move on to another coach. So it’s about keeping your existing golfers engaged while continuously bringing in new ones,” she said.

The Women in Golf Awards announced its 2025 winners at Foxhills Golf & Country Club on Thursday, with a glittering celebration of women working in the golf industry.

“Year on year, we uncover stories about women who are shaping the future of the industry. The competition this year was incredibly fierce; any one of the finalists would have been a worthy winner,” commented Founder of the awards Nicole Wheatley. “And while a celebration of today’s brightest stars is vital to the progression of women in the industry, it’s equally important that we recognise the women who came before us. They have paved the way for women to access careers in every part of the sport, which is why the special recognition awards are so significant.”
The Women in Golf Awards continue to champion diversity, inclusion, and opportunity in golf, recognising individuals whose contributions inspire the next generation of players, leaders, and innovators. The Awards foster visibility, recognition, and inspiration, ensuring women’s contributions to the sport are celebrated widely.
