ProQuip Adds Zero Friction to Growing Stable of Brands

Scottish apparel brand acquires rights to distribute Zero Friction accessories in the UK alongside Greg Norman Collection and ProQuip clothing.

ProQuip has added to its growing stable of brands by acquiring exclusive distribution rights to Zero Friction products in the UK and Ireland.

Founded in 1981, ProQuip is one of the UK’s best-selling golf outerwear and apparel brands, with distribution agreements in place across the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Continental Europe.

Since 2015, ProQuip has engineered the resurgence of the Greg Norman Collection clothing label in the UK market and now aims to drive further growth through a partnership with American sports technology company Zero Friction.

The deal will see ProQuip stocking a range of innovative high-performance accessories including the patented Zero Friction Tee, the #1 performance tee on the PGA TOUR - with over 70 PGA TOUR victories.

ProQuip will harness the expertise and contacts of its existing sales team of agents across the UK to market ZF products to green grass retailers, on-course and off-course accounts.

Zero-Friction Line up for 2019

“One of the most exciting products we will be introducing to the UK market is Zero Friction one-size-fits all compression glove technology.

The Cabretta Elite and Performance gloves instantly mould to the size of the wearer’s hand, adjusting through a stretch-fabric compression technology that offers bespoke fit and exceptional comfort.

Retailers will no longer have to worry about selecting the right combination of sizes or having enough stock in the most popular SKU’s,” said Brooks.

The glove range will include a pre-book option on a new GPS enabled distance measuring glove that speeds up play by providing pinpoint accurate yardages on the back of your glove.

ProQuip also expects ZF Storm all-weather rain gloves to perform well alongside its award-winning selection of waterproofs, wind tops and weatherwear.

The Storm gloves become tackier the wetter they get, providing outstanding grip and control when playing in the rain.

The Spectra high-matte finish coloured golf balls are expected to do well on the back of the growing trend for high visibility and personalised golf balls.

A selection of ZF accessories is available in blister pack Super Tubes that include performance tees, compression gloves and Spectra balls.
