Awards Continue To Roll In For The Sweetest Face In Golf
The awards and accolades just keep on coming, and Evnroll is celebrating yet again after claiming gold honours in the blade putter category of the Today’s Golfer Awards 2018. All models in the technologically advanced putter range from designer Guerin Rife feature a unique patented face mill pattern offering unprecedented accuracy and zero dispersion.
‘The Sweetest Face in Golf’ burst on to the scene in 2016 to rave reviews, since when the accolades have been coming in thick and fast. The latest has seen the ER2 Mid-Blade win gold in the Today’s Golfer Awards 2018, conducted by the UK’s favourite and best-selling golf magazine.
In announcing the award, the Today’s Golfer team praised the levels of stability and forgiveness on offer: “The ER2’s modern, wide head was the biggest in the category so MOI and forgiveness should be slightly enhanced over most models, which played out with the number of putts our testers holed. A slight toe hang opens the design up to slightly arcing and straighter strokes and we thought it was very stable, easy to swing and keep online… we were very impressed by the new tech.”
Evnroll’s ER2 Mid-Blade, a shorter, wider, heel-and-toe weighted flange blade, is one of 12 models in the current range all of which feature Evnroll’s patented Sweet Face Technology. Backed by years of research and development, the unique and precise face milling on each and every Evnroll putter imparts progressively more energy transfer on off-centre hits to roll the ball a consistent distance with every stroke regardless of impact point. What’s more, the unique milling pattern also works to gently re-direct the ball back to the centre eliminating dispersion from off-centre hits.
The Today’s Golfer gold award is the latest in a series of successes for the revolutionary Evnroll technology, with both its blade and mallet models consistently coming out on top in the ‘Most Wanted’ tests conducted by MyGolfSpy.com, the independent testing and review website considered by many to be the Consumer Reports of Golf.
After being named ‘Best of the Best’ in early fall 2016 by MyGolfSpy.com, even better was to come in 2017 when Evnroll became the first brand to win MyGolfSpy’s ‘Most Wanted Blade’ and ‘Most Wanted Mallet’ putter tests in the same year - both by some margin - with the same ER2 Mid-Blade that won gold with Today’s Golfer and the ER7 Full Mallet.
After unveiling six new Evnroll putter models at January’s PGA Merchandise Show in Orlando, the brand then started 2018 just as strongly with repeat MyGolfSpy successes in both categories for its new ER3 blade model, which claimed a decisive victory in the ‘2018 Most Wanted Blade Putter Test’ and the ER8 Tour Mallet, which finished joint 1st in the ‘2018 Most Wanted Mallet Putter Test’. The ER1.2 also won an “Editor’s Choice’ award from leading UK golf publication Golf Monthly shortly after.
“Every time we win an award it is further validation of the technology that we build into all Evnroll putters, which helps to demonstrate the benefits of our Sweet Face Technology that is the key to their performance” said designer and CEO, Guerin Rife.
All models in the Evnroll range are available in 33”, 34” and 35” lengths
