Wilson Staff Gives TGI Golf Members a Day to Remember

Five TGI Golf members enjoyed a day to remember on the banks of Lock Lomond when they joined up with former Open Champion Paul Lawrie at The Carrick, having won a Wilson Staff promotion.
Craig Mackie (Scotscraig Golf Club), Martin Balfour (Donnington Valley), Nick Sargent (Eastham Lodge), Chris Potter (Norfolk Premier Golf) and Andrew Davies (representing Willie Walker, Strathclyde) all joined up with Lawrie for a short game clinic and pre-round demo before joining the 1999 Open winner for a round of golf over the beautiful Carrick course at Cameron House.
The five were selected for the event having sold the most Wilson Staff irons over a month-long promotion through TGI Golf. They were joined at the event by one of those customers who purchased a set of irons over that period.
The day began with an informal introduction to Lawrie over breakfast, followed by a short game clinic, including various shot types from around the green and from the bunker. This was followed by a demonstration of his pre-round practice with short and mid-iron drills. During lunch each attendee posed for a photograph with Paul and the famous Claret Jug. After lunch TGI Golf members and their guests played 18 holes on The Carrick with Lawrie joining each group for four holes.
