The Golf Show embraces world of social media
Published: Monday, 11th July 2011

The Golf Show – Europe’s leading golf trade show and educational event – has stepped into the world of social media with the launch of a new Facebook site and Twitter feed.
PGA Professionals, suppliers and service providers will be able to keep up to date with all the latest news in the build up to the show – at the Harrogate International Centre from October 25-27 – by ‘Liking’ the Facebook page and following the Twitter feed.
By simply logging on to The Golf Show 2011 on Facebook or following @thegolfshow2011 on Twitter users will receive speaker announcements, seminar updates and news from exhibitors ahead of the event and updates throughout show week itself.
John Davis, The Golf Show coordinator, said: “By moving into social media to complement our own website we can ensure delegates and exhibitors receive all the big news ahead of The Golf Show in October.
“It also gives us the opportunity to interact with those attending the show and listen to any feedback they may have on what they found useful at the event or whether there is anything they would like us to introduce.”
The Golf Show is open to PGA Professionals across Europe and those attending will be able to gather all the information they need for the Association’s Member Education Programme as well as earn valuable CPD points for attending the show and educational seminars.
Delegates can now register for the show via the official website – www.golftradeshow.co.uk. Once registered delegates can review the timetable of seminars and request a place on those they would like to attend by emailing CPD@pga.org.uk, indicating full name, membership number, and course title and date. Delegates can only pre-register for one seminar per day and bookings are on a first-come, first-served basis. Further seminars may be booked upon arrival at the show subject to availability.
Highly respected figures from the golf industry will be leading the educational seminars including world renowned coaches Mike Hebron, Scott Cranfield and Gary Smith, biometrics expert Dr Paul Hurrion and psychology guru Jamie Edwards.
