TGI Golf lends a hand to up and coming PGA professionals

TGI Golf, Europe’s leading buying group for golf professionals, has honoured the

next generation of PGA professionals by its continued support of the PGA Regional Assistants Awards.

Three trainee professionals from each of the PGA’s seven regions – North, South, East, West, Ireland, Scotland, and Midlands – were rewarded for their hard work throughout the year at the PGA’s Regional Assistants Awards.

TGI Golf has a membership of nearly 400 golf professionals across the UK, Ireland and Holland and has sponsored the PGA Regional Assistants Awards for the past three years, having previously backed the Scottish award for a number of years.

Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director, said: “TGI Golf takes great pride in supporting the golf professional at whatever level, whether it’s a seasoned pro, veteran retailer or young assistant starting out their career.

“TGI Golf has supported grass roots golf through the PGA assistants awards for a number of years now, and year-on-year the results have been getting better, with the PGA pros of the future excelling in their studies.”

PGA chief executive Sandy Jones added: “TGI Golf has been a steadfast supporter of the PGA’s education programme, recognising its importance in ushering through a new generation of PGA professionals equipped to deal with the changing demands across all areas of the golf industry.

“We thank TGI for its on-going support in sponsoring these awards across the PGA’s seven regions and most importantly congratulate the successful assistants and wish them well in their careers.”

West
