TGI Golf members, guests and suppliers raised more than £1,500 for charity over the course of the group’s annual golf days.
Kind-hearted golfers raised a grand total of £1,646 for the Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice, which took great care of Srixon/Cleveland Golf’s Paul Bradshaw, whose life was tragically cut short at 38 by an aggressive form of cancer.
The three golf days held at Dunbar, Royal Dublin and The Lambourne Golf Clubs saw some great golf and even a hole-in-one.
Scotland
Scottish-based TGI Golf members enjoyed a day’s golf at Dunbar Golf Club with Stephen Duncan’s team taking the top prize.
The Cathcart Castle Golf Club pro led his team of Peter Derrick, Brian Hendry from
Stylish Whiskey and guest Roland Craig to 82 points, four ahead of second placed
Gordon Law from Uphall Golf Club, with Ron Comber, David Wilson from Peter Scott and Amer Sports’ Drew Parsons.
Gavin Bertie claimed the nearest the pin prize at the 16th , while Traynor collected the nearest the pin in two at the second.
Ireland

Golf Day held at Royal Dublin Golf Club, with a total points haul of 85.
His guest Alistair Lynch, Donal McEvoy of Wildan Sports and Barry O’Connor
pipped Stephen Hamill’s team to first place by just a single point joined him.
Hamill, from Lisburn Golf Club was joined by Mark Jamieson, TGI Golf’s Chris Taylor and Peter Dulgnan from PGB.
Ricky Lamb from Whitehead walked away with the prize for the amateur nearest the pin on the 7th , and Rory Whitson was nearest the pin in two at the 16th .
England
The most spectacular moment at The Lambourne came on the 17th hole where James Whitely, pro at Temple Golf Club scored a hole-in-one.
Unfortunately for him it wasn’t on the 5th, which would have netted him £35,000 towards a brand new Mercedes car.
The English Golf Day proved to be an extraordinarily close affair with just two points separating the top five positions. Dudsbury pro Steve Pockneall’s team of David Young, Andrew Green from Nike and Crossover’s Phil Barnard emerged victorious on countback after finishing level with Kirby Muxloe pro Bruce Whipham’s team of Stephanie Caron, Tim Markwick from Amer and Rob Miles of PGB on 86 points.
Steve Murphy claimed the amateur nearest the pin on the 17th , while Chris Aulert from Norfolk Premier Golf collected the prize for being nearest the pin in two at the
9th .
