Promotional Events
The TGI Golf Partnership has an extensive diary of events throughout the year giving Partners the opportunity to compete together, socialise, and share ideas and experiences.
The group’s Partner Suppliers are heavily involved in supporting the many events staged throughout the year including the TaylorMade-adidas Amateur Championship, Nike Oven Fourball Challenge, and the Ashworth Cup.
All events are staged at first-class clubs and resorts, including Ryder Cup venues and courses on the Open Championship rota – such as Celtic Manor and Turnberry – and will involve exclusive product offers for the consumer and TGI Partner.

Taylormade-adidas Golf Amateur Championship

The TGI Golf Partnership has teamed up with TaylorMade-adidas Golf to offer golfers the opportunity to follow in the footsteps of the world’s greatest by competing at Celtic Manor, host of the 2010 Ryder Cup.
The TaylorMade-adidas Amateur Championship gives club golfers to the chance to prove they are the best in the country, while offering TGI Golf Partners the chance to compete alongside their members in their quest for glory.
The search begins with TGI Golf Partners staging qualifying events at their respective clubs across the country during April to June – these can be tagged onto regular monthly medal competitions or stand-alone qualifying events.
The winner of each event and their scores are posted onto a national leaderboard, with the top 20 progressing through to the final to be held at Celtic Manor on Tuesday, August 21.
Those amateurs will be accompanied in the final by their TGI Golf professional, with prizes also up for grabs for the top team score on the day.
Each year players compete for amazing prizes courtesy of TaylorMade-adidas Golf and the TGI Golf Partnership would like to thank TMaG for their ongoing support.

The Ashworth Cup

The Ashworth Cup gives TGI Golf Partners the opportunity to come together and play as a team against the buying group Foremost Golf.
Following a similar format as the Ryder Cup – with Fourballs in the morning and Singles in the afternoon – the annual match has been staged at some of the most famous golf clubs in the UK and Ireland such as the K Club, The Grove and in 2012 it will be held over the world-famous Ailsa Course at Turnberry.
Each year 12 TGI Golf Partners secure a place in the team via four qualifiers – held in north England, south England, Scotland and Ireland – or through a captain’s pick.
The top two players from each of the four qualifiers automatically qualify for the team, leaving the team captain with four picks of his own. Two members of the team must be senior players.
Eddie Reid, TGI Golf Managing Director, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity to play at great courses with your fellow Partners, representing your group. There is no limit to the amount of qualifying events you can play in and I encourage all Partners to participate in the qualifying stages and support your TGI Golf.”
The regional qualifiers are listed below -
| Country | Venue | Date | Time |
| Ireland | Greenore Golf Club | Wednesday 30th May | 10.00am - 11.30am |
| Scotland | Cawder Golf Club | Thursday 7th June | 10.00am - 12.00pm |
| England (North) | Stockport Golf Club | Monday 11th June | 9.00am - 11.00am |
| England (South) | Newbury & Crookham Golf Club | Monday 18th June | 11.30am - 1.30pm |
Srixon Ball Amnesty Day Promotion
The TGI Golf Partnership has teamed up with partner supplier Srixon to allow a limited number of partners to run an exclusive Ball Amnesty Day promotion at their respective golf clubs.
70 TGI Golf partners during May to July will invite a Srixon representative to their chosen golf day. On each of the days many golfers will be invited to throw away their old golf balls in return for a sleeve of 3 brand new golf balls from Srixons award winning products, either; Z-Star, AD333 or Soft Feel.
In order for the correct product to be distributed at every Amnesty day each golfer will be asked some brief questions about their game to establish which Srixon ball will enhance their golf.
